The TyEL client bonuses for 2021 will be calculated in March
The TyEL client bonuses for 2021 will be calculated at the beginning of March and we will send our clients a message when the calculation has been done for them. The client bonuses will be taken into account in the subsequent TyEL insurance contribution invoices or refunded no later than 30 June 2021. The amount of the bonus can easily be checked from Elo’s Online Service.
The client bonus that is allocated to a policyholder in 2021 is in proportion to the amount of paid TyEL-contributions during 2020 and the accumulated fund at the end of 2019. In response to the corona situation, a temporary reduction of 2.6 percentage points was applied to TyEL insurance contributions during the period of 1 May–31 December 2020. The reduction was applicable to salaries and wages paid between May and December 2020.
In accordance with the agreement of the labour market organisations and confirmed legislation, pension insurance companies cannot pay client bonuses for the validity period of the payment reduction. For this reason, the client bonuses for 2021 are, for all pension insurance companies, one third of the normal amount regardless of the payment date of the TyEL contributions during 2020.
