Elo pension company launches at the start of the year
As of the beginning of 2014, Pension Fennia and LocalTapiola Mutual Pension Insurance Company will merge to form a new employment pension company under the name Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company.
The merger will not require any action on the part of the policyholders, those insured by employment pension insurance, or the pension recipients. Our clients can continue to rely on the same services they always have. This merger is good news for our clients, since the synergetic benefits of the merger will further facilitate the development of both our services and price competitiveness.
With a combined total of 490,000 insured persons and approximately €3 billion in total premium income, Elo’s market share will equal about 24 per cent at the time of its launch. Elo’s investment assets total more than €18 billion, and the company employs a staff of 450.
Elo aims to continue close co-operation with Fennia and LocalTapiola, while serving as the employment pension partner for both groups. This comprehensive partnership will ensure convenient access to Elo’s services anywhere in Finland.
