Elo appoints Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Internal Audit

Elo has appointed two new directors who will take up their posts on 1 January 2022. Taina Antila has been appointed the Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the Executive Group. Tuukka Lahkela has been appointed Head of Internal Audit. 

Taina Antila, Master of Laws; LL.M with court training, will be responsible for the company’s risk management and compliance. The role is new at Elo. Antila has previously worked in a number of financial service companies and has been in charge of developing compliance activities before. 

“Taina is a highly experienced professional in the field of insurance and compliance. It’s great to have such an experienced expert in charge of developing Elo’s risk management and compliance activities,” shares Elo’s CEO Carl Pettersson.

Tuukka Lahkela M.Sc. (Econ.) has been appointed Elo’s new Head of Internal Audit. Lahkela joins Elo from the position of Chief Audit Executive at Business Finland. He has worked in internal audit and risk management at Nordea and, before that, at the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority. 

“Tuukka Lahkela’s versatile knowledge and experience will help us develop Elo’s internal audit practices as part of the reform of our governance, management system and risk management,” Carl Pettersson explains.
