Students and young people

We build a more humane working life and work for the future of young people and their working life skills. It is important to us that we can give young people their first contact with working life and help them develop professionally on their career paths. 

We support the development of young people’s working life skills by offering young people summer jobs and cooperating with educational institutions, for example. In addition, we participate in various recruitment events and offer young people work experience. We also organise opportunities for young people to learn about working life. 

Every summer, Elo gives summer jobs to dozens of students. The positions for summer employees vary slightly from year to year depending on our needs. Every year, we strive to offer young people from different study backgrounds the opportunity to work with tasks relevant to their fields of study. We want summer employees to receive encouragement, support and responsibility during the summer, so that they can grow on their individual career paths.

We publish the summer jobs for 2026 early in the year, so please keep an eye on our website. 

Outside the summer job season, we occasionally hire students to work for us as interns. Internships are a great way to gain work experience and get to know Elo’s operations. We always provide information about available internship positions separately.   

Through cooperation with educational institutions, we maintain relationships with future experts in various fields. Our official educational institution partners are the University of Tampere’s association of insurance students Tariffi ry, the University of Helsinki’s association of political science students Kannunvalajat and the Laurea University of Applied Sciences. We support the activities of our educational institution partners and try to ensure that our cooperation prepares students for entering working life. For example, we organise courses and excursions for our partners. 

You can contact us if your student association is interested in cooperation. We are also happy to work with non-official partners.
